Buenas tardes,

So after talking about some of my speaking activities, I thought I'd share with some of you my "Show and Tell" or Mostar y explicar as I call it.

I use this with clothing unit, and sports, but it can really be incorporated into any unit you'd like.

Srta. :)

Cuaderno Interactivo Estudiantil (Interactive Student Notebook -ISN)

Well I can't pretend that the last couple of weeks haven't been INSANELY busy. This weekend is much needed. This year I've decided to teach my jr. high kiddos with an Interactive Student Notebook, or as we say in Spanish: Cuaderno Interactivo Estudiantil. If you're interested in setting up one up, here's a great site that I used:

It is a LOT of work putting together the notebooks, and we've had our classes reduced by 20 minutes this year. However, what I love the most about this, is that it's challenging me as a teacher to come up with new, unique ideas. I find that I'M enjoying this as well. My advanced students are more vocal about this than my intro, but they seem to love it.

Here's some pics of my notebook (I use this to teach the students):

Spanish Club Calendar

Here we are with about a week left until I start school! I can't believe summer is almost gone. Of course, I'm fighting a cold I caught on my trip to San Francisco, but hey, at least I got away. Let's hope it's gone so that I don't get my usual one when school starts up.

One of the things I love but hate about the beginning of the year, is getting organized with my extra curricular activities. I mean, I love them, but hate to try to figure out schedules and what I'm going to do. I've tried to search for an easy to follow calendar, but couldn't find one. So, finally, after 7 years, I've made it easier on myself! I've created a Spanish Club Calendar with links to different activities. As I've stated before, at my jr. high we have 7th & 8th grade students, so I've created this on a 2 year format. I alternate them each year (year A and B), so that the students don't get repeats.

I've included links to different ideas, and where…

Classroom decorations

I've been working on my room this week, & I thought I'd just share some quick posts about my bulletin boards & some setups.

I found some free Spanosh-speaking countries flags & maps on TPT. I printed, cut them out, & put the maps by the flags. I'm going to add 2 clocks I found @ Five & Below with a Madrid & Another (tbd) time zone.

Close-up above.

I've been doing this bulletin board for a while now. It had a bad glare, but here it is again :
Here is what my back white board looks like. I write my agenda on these as you can see.
Lastly, I'm planning on using the 2 week model I talked about in my last post, & came upon these free ACTFL standards posters I'm putting on my "yo puedo" board.

That's all I have for now. School starts next week, so I hope to have more.
¡Hasta luego!
